This Wednesday (05), the second day of the VII Ibero-American Congress on Human Rights was marked by enriching and relevant debate tables on the topics under discussion!
The first session of the day addressed the theme “HUMAN RIGHTS AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES, EQUALITY”, bringing reflections on the impact of emerging technologies in the field of human rights and how to guarantee equality in this context. The following participated in this panel: Prof. Dr. THIAGO MATSUSHITA, Director of the Law School of ALFA EDUCAÇÃO - FADISP/UNIALFA. – Dr. SILVIA BARONA VILAR, Professor of Procedural Law, UV. – Dr. PAULO SÉRGIO PINTO ALBUQUERQUE, Judge Pinto de Alburquerque, Professor at the Catholic University of Portugal. – Dr. MAITÊ MORO, Professor at FADISP
The second session of the day focused on “VULNERABILITIES AND INCLUSION POLICIES”, exploring the issues related to social vulnerabilities and the policies needed to promote inclusion and the protection of human rights. The following participants were: Dr. JULIO CESAR DE OLIVEIRA VELLOZO, Professor at FADISP. – Dr. JUANA MARÍA GIL RUIZ, Professor of Philosophy of Law, Director of the Department of Philosophy of Law, University of Granada. President of the Spanish Society of Legal and Political Philosophy. – Dr. DENISE NEVES ABADE, Regional Attorney General, Professor at Mackenzie Presbyterian University. – Dr. DOMINIQUE GAY-SILVESTRE, Professor at the University of Limoges (France). President of the International Network Latin America, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean (ALEC).
Finally, the third and final session of the day addressed “GLOBALIZATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS”, discussing the challenges and opportunities brought by globalization for the promotion and defense of human rights. The following participants participated in this panel: Dr. ALISSON CARVALHO DE ALENCAR, Professor at FADISP. – Dr. MARINA FARACO, Deputy Coordinator of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program – Master’s Degree in Law at UNIALFA. – Dr. ANDREA PISANESCHI, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Siena. – Dr. ENRIQUE J. MARTÍNEZ PÉREZ, Full Professor of Public International Law, UVA. – Dr. ANDRÉ RAMOS TAVARES, Minister of the TSE, Full Professor at USP, Coordinator of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program – Master’s and Doctorate in Law at FADISP.
The knowledge and expertise of the speakers enriched the discussions and helped everyone to better understand the challenges we face in the context of human rights. It was inspiring to witness the exchange of ideas and the search for solutions to promote a more just and inclusive society.
