FADISP Professor and MT Accounts Attorney develops Marketplace model for public procurement

THE Dr. Alisson Carvalho de Alencar, professor at FADISP and attorney general of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Mato Grosso, published in the Qualis A1 magazine, classified as a scientific journal of excellence by Capes, his thesis on the implementation of an unprecedented model of public procurement. Entitled “An E-Marketplace Model for Effective Public Procurement Using Generative Artificial Intelligence”, which addresses accreditation in public procurement and the creation of the National Public Procurement Portal. The study was the conclusion of her post-doctorate at USP, carried out under the supervision of professors Ana Carla Bliacheriene and Luciano Vieira de Araújo.

According to him, “This proposal has the potential to transform public procurement in Brazil, bringing more efficiency, transparency and innovation to the public sector.” Their study proposes the use of technology, implementing a marketplace system for Brazilian public administration with generative artificial intelligence. The work is supported by the New Bidding Law (Law 14.133/2021) and would evaluate the benefits of the solution in terms of cost reduction, time savings and greater transparency.

The completion of the postdoctoral program is an important step in the researcher’s professional and academic career, according to him. “I am deeply grateful to my advisors and everyone who made this achievement possible. This is another step in the commitment to modernizing public management and advancing technology in the service of society.”
