The Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program (master's and doctorate) at FADISP is rated 5 by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), making it one of the best colleges in the country.
Students can interact with nationally and internationally recognized professionals, including permanent, collaborating and visiting professors, with extensive legal knowledge and academic production.
The Program is an excellent opportunity to verticalize legal knowledge and, thus, elevate professional careers linked to the field of Law.
The mission of PPGD Fadisp is the qualified training of researchers and teachers, with the construction of the profile of a professional capable of critically, relevantly and up-to-date understanding of the social function of Law.
To this end, its disciplines debate the fundamental questions of the role of Law in the face of the most diverse changes in social patterns, especially those determined by new digital technologies, as its research and development activities at PPGD Fadisp are aimed at legal knowledge in the current scenario of intense transformation of society and, therefore, also of Law.
Due to the paradigm shift that society is going through, the legal phenomenon is becoming increasingly multidimensional and plural, which requires Law to adapt its essential concepts and institutes to new social contours in order to remain socially relevant and effective. Therefore, the PPGD FADISP seeks graduates with a solid doctrinal basis to achieve academic productions that have real potential to promote transformations in society.
This profile is applied to the training of teachers and researchers in Brazil, among professionals from the public and private spheres, with the capacity for national and international projection.
This mission, although bold, is entirely feasible, since the PPGD FADISP has a history of collaboration between different academic centers at an international level. Since its inception in 2014, the PPGD has maintained partnerships with the following European Universities: University of Valladolid (UVA), Spain; University of Salamanca (USAL), Spain; University of Siena (UNISI), Italy. With these universities, the PPGD FADISP develops numerous academic activities and offers students the co-supervision and double doctoral degree program.
In this line, the specific objectives of the PPGD FADISP consist of:
The FADISP Master's Degree in Law was recommended by Capes in May 2005 and installed in September of this year.
Even though it was only a short time ago, the Course had already achieved significant results throughout the country.
In 2009, FADISP presented a Proposal for a Doctoral Course in Social Function in Constitutional Law, also divided into two lines of research (“Access to Justice and Constitutions” and “Constitutionalization of Private Law Institutes”).
Its intention was not exactly to expand its share of the educational market. Far from this purely commercial vision, FADISP sought a natural step forward, compatible with the current stage of academic maturity, determined by the quality and seriousness of the research carried out and by the solid scientific production developed by the teaching staff and students of the HEI.
Also in 2009, there was an organizational restructuring of FADISP, with which it began to be maintained by Centro Educacional Alves Faria Ltda (CENAF).
In 2016, after successive institutional evaluations with a score of 4 (four), the institutional re-accreditation was approved for the Alves Faria University Center (CENAF), and from then on it was recognized as UNIALFA.
The path was indeed to consolidate the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program (Master's and Doctorate) at FADISP, which was achieved in 2022, when the Course was evaluated with the CAPES Concept 5 in the 2017-2020 Quadrennial Evaluation.
Among the highlights of the Quadrennial Assessment (2017-2020) are the relevance of the scientific production of the faculty, students and graduates, the quality of the theses and dissertations and the internationalization that the Program promotes.

FADISP selects its students through a selection process published in its own notice, consisting of the following phases:
* Stay tuned for the Selection Process Notices. Click here to access the Selection Process Notices and Results.
The FADISP Stricto Sensu Program provides its students with the opportunity to participate in activities, courses, projects and international exchanges, organized with internationally renowned institutions. This experience is a unique opportunity for students interested in studying and working abroad, in addition to enabling contact and academic, professional and cultural exchange with professors and students from other countries.
At FADISP, you will find several options to make your dream of studying abroad come true.
Throughout the year, the FADISP Stricto Sensu Program holds several International Seminars, organized at the ALFA Educação Law School facilities, with the presence of foreign professors for lectures on current topics and in line with the Program's research lines.
It is already a tradition at ALFA Educação Law School to organize the International General Law Forum in July in Europe. This international event lasts two weeks. The first week is the Ibero-American Congress on Human Rights at the University of Valladolid (UVA), Spain, with the participation of professors from UVA, FADISP/UNIALFA and guests. At this event, students have the opportunity to present papers prepared especially for this event. In the second week, students can participate in the Summer School (Democracy and Development), which takes place at the University of Siena (UNISI), Italy, in partnership with this historic and renowned European university.
The annual organization of the Good Governance, Compliance and Corruption Seminar, organized in partnership with the University of Salamanca (USAL), Spain, where this event is held, is also part of the International Seminar activities.
The workload of the International Seminars is used to carry out complementary activities.
Currently, the FADISP Doctoral Program has an agreement for a co-supervision and double doctoral degree program with the University of Valladolid (UVA) and the University of Salamanca (USAL), in Spain, and with the University of Siena (UNISI), in Italy.
Doctoral students interested in the Co-Supervision Program may participate, up until the first year of the course, in the selection process that is periodically carried out to fill vacancies. This process consists of a pre-project analysis and an interview.
The student's period of stay at the partner University is at least 6 months, and this period can be divided throughout the student's stay in the Program.
The student must prepare a single doctoral thesis, which will be defended and evaluated at FADISP or at the partner university. Once approved, the student will receive the title of doctor from FADISP and the partner university.
FADISP has International Academic Partnerships with European Universities for: (i) the mobility of Professors, researchers, students from both HEIs; (ii) joint publications; (iii) joint research projects; (iv) creation and organization of coordinated teaching activities; (v) organization of international colloquia; (vi) adherence to the activities of the International Campus of Excellence of Spanish Universities.
