Presentation

THE Psychopedagogical Support Center (NAP) from the Alfa School of Law (UNIALFA/FADISP) develops a monitoring and pedagogical support work for all students with adaptation and learning difficulties in the Institution's undergraduate and graduate courses. NAP always invests in the development of integrated actions, supporting the teaching-learning process, enhancing the student's academic performance. Based on the perspective of multiple manifestations of the educational process, NAP offers support to students and teachers, helping in the search for better study methodologies and new strategies in the classroom, in a multidimensional didactic logic.

In this way, the NAP develops and coordinates projects for recovery and leveling of studies, in addition to offering didactic and pedagogical guidance that enables the resolution of problems that interfere with academic performance (through individual scheduling of guidance). By supporting the efforts of students, with respect to their intelligence and potential, the NAP guarantees access to a quality education. Nevertheless, the Center encourages actions to integrate students with the course's pedagogical projects (PPC) in interdisciplinary and formative actions (e.g. Monitoring).

The Pedagogical Support Center provides individual or collective support, and is carried out with seriousness and competence, maintaining absolute confidentiality of students' information during the support, and assisting in resolving issues that impact the educational process and performance in the course. The NAP works together with the Tutoring and Course Coordinators, aiming to maximize the core elements of each course's curriculum and the comprehensive education of students.

Monitoring

In the Alfa School of Law (UNIALFA/FADISP) monitoring understood as an instrument for improving undergraduate teaching, under the supervision of the Psychopedagogical Support Center (NAP) and monitoring by course coordinators. It is organized to encourage student protagonism, in supervised activities to support undergraduate course disciplines or projects, especially through study groups to academically reinforce students with difficulties in disciplines.

Tutoring is provided for in art. 84 of Federal Law No. 9,394/96 (Law of Guidelines and Bases for National Education of 1996) and art. 4 of Federal Decree No. 66,315 of March 13, 1970; it may be voluntary or through a scholarship, as per the terms of the notices published every six months. Tutoring activities are coordinated by professors with doctorates from the Institution, fostering positive relationships of support and solidarity among the student body. From the perspective of autonomy, tutoring provides opportunities for new pedagogical practices and experiences, strengthening the connection between theory and practice.

To participate in the tutoring program, regularly enrolled students may register in the semester tutoring notice (information below), usually made available at the beginning of the semester (February and August). Positions are offered by discipline or project, with the prerequisite being the student's affinity with the discipline offered and prior approval in the curricular component - in the case of projects, the requirements vary. For more information, consult the Tutoring Regulations (available in the Documents tab).

The activities are carried out jointly by professors and students and are linked to a subject or undergraduate course project. They take place at the Alfa Law School (UNIALFA/FADISP) facilities or remotely, based on a work plan approved at the start of the activities. The purpose of the monitoring is to promote mutual cooperation between students and professors, strengthening academic ties and bringing students closer to technical-didactic activities, always under the guidance of a professor and the pedagogical supervision of the NAP and the course coordinators.

Leveling

Leveling 2023.1 (EAD)
The FADISP – Autonomous Faculty of Law Leveling Program seeks to assist students entering the institution who demonstrate difficulties in basic content necessary for their academic trajectory.
It is common to have difficulties in keeping up with the subjects taught due to the low quality of education that most students receive in the initial grades. In addition, situations such as age-grade distortion, which culminate in the completion of Elementary and High School in supplementary programs, are factors that can lead the student to drop out of the course.

Faced with this reality, FADISP offers the Portuguese Language Leveling Course, offered free of charge to students at the beginning of each academic semester, with the aim of supporting students in their studies for a better university education.

1 – Objective
Level up incoming students who demonstrate difficulties in recovering content that is hindering the teaching-learning process, allowing the student to continue their studies effectively.

2 – Target audience
Open to the external community and students in the 1st and 2nd periods of FADISP courses.

3 – Workload
Portuguese classes will be offered in the distance learning format, with a workload of 12 hours.

To be entitled to the certificate of participation in the Leveling program, whose hours will be used to complete complementary activities, the student must have 100% attendance and complete all modules.

4 – Registration 2023/1
Registration: February 27 to March 13, 2023.
Course period: April 1st to May 27th, 2023.

Main Activities

Main Activities of the Psychopedagogical Support Center-NAP:

  • Psychopedagogical Care: Based on the specific needs of each student, it is possible to search for and make a shared decision about the proposals and types of support needed. It is understood that it is through psychopedagogical support that the student can seek solutions to issues that interfere with their academic performance, including: study organization, difficulties with concentration, time management and difficulty following the content of their course.

  • Monitoring Program: Includes activities by undergraduate students with high performance in a given area. In particular, the organization of study groups and other actions for academic reinforcement, aimed at students with low academic performance and/or interest in in-depth studies outside of class. The activities are carried out jointly by teacher and student, linked to a discipline of the undergraduate course or special project. They are carried out on the Institution's premises, under the guidance of a teacher and the supervision of the NAP and the course coordinator.

  • Portuguese Language Leveling: Free Portuguese language classes for students at the beginning of each semester. The course prepares students by improving their ability to use the standard language required for higher education. Four 3-hour classes are held throughout the semester (on Saturdays, depending on the calendar). The class hours can be used to complete complementary activities, as long as the student has attended at least 75%. Registration for leveling is carried out exclusively in accordance with the Announcement for each semester.
